Madzie is designed to support emotional wellbeing through journaling. Your privacy is central to this experience. This policy explains how your information is handled.
All journal entries, moods, insights, and settings are stored locally on your device. Madzie does not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on external servers.
If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account, encrypted by Apple, and synced across your devices.
Sync is optional and off by default. You remain in full control of your data. Madzie never has access to your iCloud content and relies on Apple’s CloudKit framework and security model. If iCloud is disabled or unavailable, your data remains safely on your device.
Madzie does not require an account. It does not use analytics, tracking technologies, advertising identifiers, or third‑party data collection tools.
If you choose to use the optional AI Image Generator, you must provide your own API key. This key is stored securely on your device and is never transmitted to Madzie. It is only sent to the provider you choose when generating images.
Madzie does not share, sell, or disclose your information to anyone. Your data remains yours alone.
Your entries are protected by your device’s built‑in security features, such as passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be published here.
